I recently had a chance to stay at a cabin in an area called Butte Meadows in Northern California. There was no electricity so my only entertainment was my camera and journal. It was a good chance to unwind and just think about story ideas and plans for the future. I got some pretty amazing landscapes while I was up there and even tried my hand at a bit of astrophotography. Although I forgot my tripod, I did manage to construct a make-shift hold for my camera out of a baby seat, newspaper and Ziploc bag... I know it sounds intense, but anything for the shot, right? I left it there all night for an amazing time lapse of the unpolluted night sky.
